Why pickles?

As you know Oliver has been having a difficult time consuming anything non-boob related. Even fruits! To date the only foods he likes are pickles, beans, turkey and gravy and gumming beef jerky. I have come to the conclusion that I gave birth to a homeless man. If I find a bottle of malted beer in a paper bag in his crib I'm going to be very disappointed.

I'm not in Utah any more

My neighbors yard has progressively got worse and worse as the summer has gone on. I'm not talking about a weed here or there, I'm talking about solidly packed weed gardens and knee high grass. Especially over the last two weeks it has really got out of hand. I was beginning to think: perhaps she died/ went out of town/ has been working three shifts a day ect. So today I got the crazy idea to be a good neighbor and go mow her lawn. After about three rows she comes running out of her house waving her arms. I turn off the mower and say "Well hi there, I thought you were on vacation". She then says "Um ya well I'm not" and then she just looks at me (a pretty dirty look) so I then offer to finish mowing so she does not have a three stripe goat trail running through her yard and she basically tells me to get bent. Not sure what to make out of this.

Do I...
A. Write her off as a crazy lady (who probably has a basement full of cats) and pretend the situation never occurred.
B. Go over and apologize for being... nice? Nosy? One who cares what my yard looks like?
C. Put up a 8 ft fence next year. After all good fences make for good neighbors.

Your thoughts please.

Happy 6 Month Birthday!

Oliver is 6 months today and yesterday he went to the doctor for his check up. He is doing exceptionally well considering how early he was. The only areas he needs to work on are rolling over and sitting up. The doctor said that he is 5 months cognitively but because he is the size of a 6 month old it is easy to expect him to act like one. He jokingly said he was surprised how cute Oliver is (because he works with Matt everyday). He also said that he is the happiest baby he has ever seen, but we already knew that :)

His measurements were:
17" head circumference 50th percentile
27 inches in length 75th percentile
17 lbs 50th percentile

I'm a big boy now!

Oliver finally has his own room and a new crib to go with it! I'm sure he is as excited as I am. Grandma Tina's quilt matches it perfectly!

Our house is finally coming together. I'm excited that we almost have Oliver's room completly done! It will be so nice for him to have his own space to keep all of his toys and books.

Happy baby

Oliver and I had a great time today. We had a mini photo shoot and took lots of cute pictures. He was in a really playful mood so it was easy to capture his little personality on film. He is so much fun!

Tosa Parade

Happy Fourth of July! Oliver and I had a great time at the Tosa parade with our friends Amanda and Don. It might rival Preston for best parade ever... I'll have to let you know when the verdict comes in. And yes, I just stumbled out of bed like five minuets before this picture was taken. Parades start early around here!

Our house in the middle of the street

Our little house.
I'm like a professional shrub trimmer nowadays...

My beautimus peonies!

Lovin' the big boy seat!

Oliver's new favorite thing is to be upright at all times. Which is a good thing considering he was getting a bit of a flat spot on the back of his head. He also has developed a hole in his lip, the poor kid drools constantly!
